Similar to Invisible Question ESL game online & in-class, for this ESL game we think about a word (that is why it’s invisible) and describe it. A very simple activity for any level either teaching English online or face to face to face at school. Play this game at the start of any class and turn it into an ESL warmer
For in-class ESL lessons, ask one or a group of students to leave the classroom. With the help of other students come up with a word and write it on the board. Make sure everybody memorized it then erase the word from the board.
Now let the outside students come in. Either you or another student gives one clue by describing the word. Write the description on the board and let them guess. If their answer is correct, this round ends and they get 30 scores otherwise write their guess on the board and elicit another clue.
As you give more clues, their score reduces by ten so if they guess after the third clue, they get only ten scores.
For online classes, a teacher or a student thinks of a word and starts giving a clue by describing it. Whoever guesses it right wins 30 scores and get to choose the invisible word otherwise the game goes on until someone guesses correctly or the student has already given the third clue
